Yesterday, actors Glen Pinchin and Tricia Yu joined our lead stars Kirk and Michelle to shoot the last scenes of Hit 'n Strum.
The crew then moved to Boneta for a pseudo-wrap party. 'Pseudo' because there are still scenes left to be filmed at a later date! But the majority of the cast and crew said their goodbyes last night out on the corner of Cordova and Carrall in Gastown, not certain about when they will ever meet again, but certain that one day soon they will...
A big big BIG thank you to the wicked awesome cast and crew ![]()

Today our multitalented lead, Kirk Caouette, came out of retirement and performed a kickass car hit stunt for Hit 'n Strum! As we set up the cameras this morning, the energy of anticipation was palpable on our set (back alley of Larrivee Guitars building on Cordova St. E.).
And we were not disappointed. As Kirk spectacularly smashed into the car windshield, the sound of crunching bones and shattering glass sent shivers down everyone's spine... But shivers soon turned into shouts of glee as we realize that Kirk was okay and that we had just captured one of the greatest moments in our film!
The Province reporter Glen Schaefer came by to witness Kirk in action - keep and eye out for a write-up in the Sunday edition!

We have reached the halfway mark and things keep getting crazier! Our little project has become quite a tour de force, considering how tiny our crew is - but what a wonderful, hard-working team they are!
Please check out our photo gallery to watch the progress.
We would like to extend a thank you to the following Vancouver businesses who have so graciously opened their doors for our shoot!

Chambar + Cafe Medina - www.chambar.com

United We Can - www.unitedwecan.ca
and

"Hit 'n Strum" is officially in principal photography! The day started off a little too overcast for our taste but in true Vancouver fashion, has turned into a gorgeous sunset! Cast and crew spent all day banging out shots in good old Gastown amongst the local color.
A big big big thank you to Mark Brand of Boneta Restaurant for letting us use one of their booths as a makeup/hair station!
Check out fresh stills in the photo gallery.

We have the best TV crews and locations in the world. Hands down, bar none, utterly and completely. Need I say more.
With local inspirations like Chris Haddock, Vancouver has shown that we have what it takes to compete on the world stage. 4Branch TV is dedicated to pushing the local development of mainstream TV to a higher level. We have proven that all we need is our talent, hard work, and a few good lawyers down south to keep the vultures at bay. Check out our first pilot BLOOD:the series if you think that all local TV shows are made for a micro audience. Blood was written, produced, directed, and acted by Canadians. Shot in the year 2001 it was cutting edge and ahead of its time. We have recently reclaimed the intellectual property rights and are attempting to resurect the project after severe mismanagement by a local development/ distribution company (that will remain nameless out of respect for their incompetence).
Check out the teaser on our television page!

Hey. Wake up and smell the Coffee fellow Vancouverites. Our little city is growing up. For thirty years now Hollywood has come to our city to make their films. Vancouver has doubled for... well... just about every major city on the planet. It's time we stopped being so shy about who we are. 4Branch Productions isn't shy at all. We proudly feature local color, local writers, local musicians and we're not bashful to say that anything Hollywood can do, we can do better, with less attitude, and more heart.
And possibly a little more rain... oh well we can't win them all ![]()
